Pleated & Cellular Shades

Pleated Shades for every decor

Pleated Shades are a stylish and affordable window treatment choice. They have crisp pleats and are available in a broad array of colours, style and textures.

Cellular Shades

Cellular Shades are a unique pleated shade fabricated into a honeycomb shape. The honeycomb shape traps air inside the shade providing an air barrier between the penetrating heat or cold coming through the window, allowing these shades to provide an excellent energy rating. They are offered in single cell and double cell styles, as well as light filtering and room darkening fabrics. Light filtering shades allow muted light into a room, while room darkening cellular shades will block light when closed. There will always be light gaps along the sides and bottom of the shade. Cellular shades are available in a variety of cell sizes. We will help you make the best selections for your home based on your light control needs, room dimensions and window size.

Covers offers its own in-stock Prestige cordless shades in three colours (white, ivory, pongee – taupe) with free cut to width. Take them home today.

What is the difference between Pleated and Cellular Shades?

Pleated and Cellular Shades have similar looks with crisp pleats like that of an accordion. Both these shades come with options of cord control, corded and cordless top down/bottom up, regular cordless, and motorized. They come in a wide variety of colours, fabrics and are available as light filtering or room darkening. The main difference is their inner construction. Cellular shades have a honeycomb structure between the pleats that act as an efficient insulator. Pleated Shades will help insulate too, but not nearly as well. Cellular Shades are offered in Single and Double Cell. Double Cell shades provide greater energy efficiency and hold their pleated shape better than regular pleated shades.

How do I clean my cellular and pleated shades?

For regular dusting of cellular and pleated shades, simply roll them down completely and vacuum them on both sides using the brush attachment.
